Being a UX Designer wasn't always the plan. I started as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, learning the basics of UX as part of the curriculum. Straight out of the course, I landed my first role as a UX Designer and I fell in love with the work.
I've always be more of a creative person who loved to solve a problem so it just made since. Being able to think like an engineer only helped me perfect what I do. I know what a heavy dev load looks like, so I design around it when possible.
It took me awhile to find my path. Along the way, I held different positions; from customer service to construction. Each role, adding to my understanding not just a business but also life.
My first love is, and always will be, Music Production. I can't get. There is no better feeling than seeing artists squinch there face when you make a "BANGER".
I recently completed the Google UX certificate through Coursera and I'm excited to see where my journey goes.
Some words I try to live by.
Hip-hop, R&B, EDM, Synthwave, Reggaeton; whatever peeps my interest. I compose, produce, mix, write, and sound design. Whatever the track needs, I love to contribute. Before UX, Music was my outlet
Hiking, running, lifting or playing a sport; just stepping out the door. From time to time, I get claustrophobic so I need space to breathe.
I love reading and writing, especially writing. I like fantasy, scary stories, and I love learning about space! I also used to draw. This is something I am working my way back to.
The full stack roots that never fully left me. I still think in systems, components, and edge cases. It makes me a better designer. When I am able, I love building what I design.
